Fashion Designer Didier Konig, born in Paris, developed a love for fashion. In 1976 he took a job at the french designer's Yves Saint Laurent boutique on Madison Avenue, in New York. Accepting a promotion in 1981, he organized the opening of many new boutiques in the USA. In 1985 he created his new fashion line and took control of the family business. Mr Didier Konig is creating  the new designs for the Konig label and the Konig Group SA company based in Geneva Switzerland.

The Konig label penchant for using materials in an unexpected contexts combinations came to be known as a defining characteristic of his style. Konig has established a new standard of understated elegance. His trademarks design are reinterpretation of the traditional, and relaxed designs. For many years Didier Konig is dressing the hollywood stars, and many well known personalities.

In 2010 a large Konig shop opened its doors in geneva next to the most luxurious hotels in Geneva. The Konig label will continue to be a little known secret for fashion enthusiasts and shoes devotees around the world.
